to the aktive volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai and to the top of the highest freestanding mountain on Earth - Mount Kilimanjaro.

New year, new projects!
[30.01.2011]
Okay, this really is some kind of embarrassing, but I simply couldn't find the time to update this blog since October 2010(!)
As you can probably imagine, this inactivity goes back to the fact, that I've been pretty busy, working on several new projects.
Anyways, in this blogpost I would simply like to show you the latest two websites I've been developing.
The first website is representing INJOYmed Müllheim - an affiliate of one of the most established fitness-/wellness companies in Germany:
The second one, made for a local mediator, is built on a Content Management System,
which makes this client able to update the content himself:
Now take a look at those sites and enjoy!
Cheers.

Wet hair
[14.08.2010]
Sometimes it takes me quite a while to get around to post-process the results of a photoshoot.
In this case, the shots were taken in a freestyle/creative session already four months ago and
I'm really glad to have them ready now. Enjoy.

Cheers.

[02.08.2010]
Just back from the Alps and, after 3 months, finally back in Germany again, I'm giving you guys a little preview
of the shots that I captured on a one week trip to Switzerland. "Engadin" (the part I was photographing in) really has
some stunning views, which let you quickly forget the physical exertion it takes to get up and down the summits.

Lej da Cavloc 1907 m

Piz Palü 3905 m

Forno Gletscher 2574 m

Piz Trovat 3146 m

Diavolezza 2301 m
I'll soon also show some photos taken in France over the last 3 months I've spent there.

...bye bye Windows!
[17.01.2010]
Since I've been using Windows XP for ages, I decided, that it was now time to get rid of all the bugs and problems.
The new iMac 27" arrived just a few days ago and I know already, that I've made the right choice for myself.
Working on a Mac now, I have to admit, that this system is just significantly easier and much more intuitive to use...

Now just to get my point across, I want to say, that in my opinion it really doesn't matter what system, brand or product you're using.
Go out there, test all the different solutions, choose whats best for you - and you'll be happy!
Cheers.

Take off - Here we go 2010!
[04.01.2010]
Right on the 3rd day of the New Year I had the chance to take off with a lightweight aircraft to take some shots from above.
It was simply amazing seeing this incredible landscape from a different perspective like that.
Since the shots are not ready yet, I can already give you a little preview in this short video clip - enjoy!

Frozen ?!
[20.12.2009]
Who doesn't hate to have cold hands in wintertime ?
Since I was freezing off my fingers on the last assignment, I got myself some nice "photography gloves".
Even though it took me quite some time, I finally found and bought gloves that seemed to workout for that purpose.
Now if you are looking for something like that, head over to www.thenorthface.com and check out the Apex collection.
Those gloves are able to keep your hands warm and still let you fully operate your camera at the same time.
Enjoy!

Colorful
[17.12.2009]
Besides shooting some furniture for a job, I had time to get out my macro lens today.
It was pretty awesome to use since I haven't done anything with it in ages it feels like.
Now just have a look at the shot and keep it up!

Fresh Style
[07.12.2009]
After a long time of preparing I was finally able to shoot again.
With this session I was testing the new Tronix - Explorer mobile power device
for the first time and I have to admit that this is an awesome piece of equipment.
In 5 hours of shooting the battery went from high to medium only - very satisfying.
Now check out the shots and enjoy!

The pictures will soon be up in the portfolio too.
Cheers!

Night-Lights
[07.11.2009]
It sometimes is quite amazing what you will find if you just browse up and down your archive.
In my case, I found this downtown shot taken from the CN-Tower in Toronto:

Maybe there is more good stuff the be discovered - keep your fingers crossed!

Wide-Angle
[21.10.2009]
It didn't take long to become my new standard zoom lens -
the Nikon AF-S 24-70 F/2.8 joined my gear-bag a few days ago!
Not only the first impression is great, this lens has a whole
lot to offer.
With the lens, I also started using PTLens - a nice
software to remove
any distortions that you catch with the lens.

First outdoor shoots are planned already, new stuff is coming soon!

Angela Merkel visiting Freiburg
[03.09.2009]
Without advancing any political view I grabbed a shot of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel on her visit in Freiburg.

On the first job, the new D700 was already very comfortable and satisfying to use.
I am now looking forward to work more often with that great piece of equipment!

The Dalai Lama visiting Freiburg
[28.07.2007]
...just got back from shooting the Dalai Lama infront of the Colombi Hotel.
I was surprised to see, how little security he had with him.
Although he is quite an impressive person to meet, no doubt.
